Meet Maithili Bhue of Debrigarh, an extraordinary woman who empowered 60 women through eco-tourism and conservation of nature. The woman has shown indominable grit and determination and has found a mention in the much popular program of PM Modi, ‘Mann Ki Baat’.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised Maithili Bhue of Debrigarh in Bargarh district of Odisha. He talked about how she has managed sustainability and eco-conservation together. And on the other hand she has been able to empower 60 women like her through eco tourism.
The extraordinary efforts of Maithili Bhue has brought a moment of unparalleled pride for the entire state of Odisha. The Prime Minister has honoured her dedication and resolve to empower herself and several other women like her. Her efforts have been noticed and she has brought laurels to women power of Odisha at the national level.
Maithili Bhue has integrated eco-tourism into the system of her village. She has also successfully empowered more than 60 women of the region by involving them in forest and wildlife conservation. This has made them self-reliant and instilled a sense of independence in them.
This model of combining nature conservation with livelihood and employment reflects the firm resolve of the woman to strive ahead. The Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi has thanked the PM for praising the efforts of Maithili Bhue. The CM has further praised Maithili or her contribution to environmental conservation, women empowerment, grit and determination.
