The iconic Lalbaugcha Raja is also known as the Navsacha Ganpati for fulfilling wishes. This famous Ganesh made its first public appearance yesterday. The highly-popular Ganesh appeared in a Mahadev-inspired theme.
This massive Ganesha idol was adorned with a red-orange dhoti, gold jewelry, and symbolic trident, keeping in mind the Shiva theme. The pandal houses a massive Shivling modeled after Ujjain’s Mahakaal, reports said.
The expansive pandal also features a towering Shiva figure. It is blended perfectly with Ganesh and Shiva motifs in red and gold.
Huge crowds gathered for darshan. However the rituals will start from September 14 and will continue till Anant Chaturdashi on September 25. On this day, the idol will be taken in a huge procession and immersed at the Girgaon Chowpatty. Union Minister Piyush Goyal shared his pratham darshan in a video that has gone highly viral.
It is worth mentioning that this is the 93rd year of the Ganesha. The setup draws lakhs for its artistic detail and has a strange spiritual draw. Celebrities and influencers flock to the Ganesh for a glimpse of him.
This year, the Lalbaugcha Raja Ganeshotsav Festival will be celebrated from Ganesh Chaturthi, Monday, 14 September 2026, to Anant Chaturdashi, Friday, 25 September 2026.
Like very year, the “ Shree Ganesh Muhurta Pujan” of Lalbaugcha Raja was performed on Tuesday, 9 June 2026, at 5:00 am. This was informed on the official website of the puja association.
