Flight disruption in Delhi Airport

Direct flight from China to Delhi to start soon, said reliable reports from the BRICS summit 2026. Southern Airlines will resume direct flight from Guangzhou to New Delhi from September 21. This will be done after a long gap of six years.

The announcement has been made during the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to India for the BRICS summit. The airline said that the Guangzhou-Delhi flight will resume on September 21.

Further, it added that it will operate more than 100 flights per week on eight round-trip routes in South Asia.

It is worth mentioning here that the flight services between India and China were suspended in 2020 following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Furthermore the services were not resumed due to a four-year long military standoff between the two countries in eastern Ladakh. This conflict ended in October last year and now it has been decide to resume the direct flight from China to Delhi.
