Police attacked by drug mafia in Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha, attempt made to kill by running them over by car. The attack occurred late last night during a patrol near College Square under the jurisdiction of the Jagatsinghpur Sadar Police Station.
The mafia attempted to kill the officer by driving their car over him. The Police Constable sustained injuries in the incident. Police have arrested two drug mafia members, while three others remain at large.
During the late-night patrol, five individuals in a car tried to run over a police Constable. When he attempted to flee, they chased him. According to reports, the constable fell during the pursuit and suffered a broken arm.
However later in the police attacked by drug mafia matter, two people have been arrested. However, three other individuals involved are still absconding. The police are continuing their investigation to apprehend them.
Such an attack on the police has become a major topic of discussion in the area. The police are also investigating about the car used in the incident. Efforts are underway to gather information about the absconding accused by interrogating the two individuals already arrested.
