The ugly and scary face of nature was seen in the Nepal flash flood that occurred on August 26. The videos of the incident seem straight out of movies. Within moments people went missing, houses were inundated and bridges were swept away.
The incident was nothing less than a catastrophe. Hundreds of people are said to be missing. People from various parts of the world are being searched for from the deluge.
India Provides Help
It is worth mentioning here that India has promised all possible help to Nepal. PM Modi talked to Prime Minister Balendra Shah and said on X, “Spoke to Prime Minister Balendra Shah and conveyed condolences on the loss of lives due to the floods in Nepal. The people of India stand in solidarity with their sisters and brothers in Nepal at this difficult time. India is ready to provide all possible humanitarian assistance to Nepal. Our teams are coordinating closely on rescue and relief efforts.”
According to the latest update, India has sent over 10 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Nepal to support relief efforts following devastating floods. More than 100 Indians have been reported to be missing in the flash floods. The Indian Embassy in Nepal has issued helpline numbers via an X post. The post read, “For assistance and information related to Indian nationals that have been affected by the flashfloods in Nepal today, the following emergency numbers may be contacted: +977 985 131 6807,

Reason Of Nepal Flash Floods
Reports say that, the Nepal flash floods entered Bhote Koshi from the Tibetan side on Wednesday. However, the cause is under investigation it is likely to be a possible glacial lake outburst flood (GLOF). Nepal’s National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has shared satellite images of the devastation on X and said, “Satellite images of the Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa from before and after the flood, from Syaphrubesi to Devighat.
