There has been a massive flash flood in Nepal in which more than 100 Indians are feared missing. Reports say that the flash flood occurred on Wednesday in Rasuwa district.
According to reliable reports in the flash floods in Nepal as many as 300 people are feared to be missing. Visuals have gone viral from various areas, in which the massive deluge is seen gushing onto buildings and sweeping away a bridge.
Reports say that, flood entered Bhote Koshi from the Tibetan side on Wednesday. However, the cause is under investigation it is likely to be a possible glacial lake outburst flood (GLOF).
Further, the authorities are yet to give anu exact number about the missing people and the damage to property. Rescue operations are underway. This is a developing story. Detailed reports awaited in this matter.
UPDATE:
According to the Nepal Army’s Public Relations and Information Directorate, the Nepal Army has intensified rescue and relief operations in the flood-affected areas and has evacuated 88 people to a safe place via helicopter.
