SBI recruitment 2026: Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment as Junior Associate (Customer Support and Sales) in clerical cadre in State Bank of India. Candidates can apply for vacancies in one State or Union Territory only.

Candidates can appear for the test only once under this recruitment project. The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular State/UT, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in the specified opted local language of that State/UT (mentioned in the vacancy table against each state/UT).
Knowledge Of Local Language
The test for knowledge of specified opted local language will be conducted as a part of selection process. It will be conducted after qualifying the online Main examination but before joining the Bank.
Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be offered appointment. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test.
There is no provision for Inter Circle Transfer / Inter State Transfer for Junior Associates to be recruited before completion of 5 years of service. However, after completion of 5 years’ service, only in exceptional cases such as Extreme Compassionate Ground/ Spouse Ground, the Bank at its sole discretion may
consider transfer request as per the Bank’s transfer policy/ instructions applicable at the relevant time for the post.
Selection Procedure
The selection process will consist of on-line test (Preliminary and Main exam) and test of specified opted local language.
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination: Online Preliminary Exam consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online.
Phase – II: Main Examination
Phase – III: Local Language Proficiency Test: Provisionally selected candidates not having studied (in class 10th or 12th) any of the specified local language of the State applied, will have to appear in Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT).
Salary, Age And Fees
Pay Scale: The starting Basic Pay is Rs.26730/- (Rs.24050/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduates)
Age: Not below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01.04.2026, i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1998 and not later than 01.04.2006 (both days inclusive). (Age relaxation as specified will be applicable)
Fees: General, OBC and EWS candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 750. However, there is no fee for candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and eligible Disabled Ex-Servicemen categories.
Important Dates
Starting date of Application is August 11, 2026 and last date for application online is August 31, 2026.
Preliminary Examination will be conducted tentatively in the month of September 2026 and Main Examination will be conducted tentatively in the month of November 2026.

How To Apply
Candidates can apply online and no other mode of application
will be accepted. Candidates will be required to register themselves online through Bank’s website under the section Recruitment of Junior Associates 2026.
After registration candidates are required to pay the requisite application fee through online mode by using debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking.
