There has been a tragic road accident in Perambalur of Tamil Nadu on Thursday. As many as two people have been killed and six injured. According to reports the road accident took place on the Chennai–Trichy National Highway near the Perambalur Four Roads flyover this morning.
According to reliable reports, a private bus carrying passengers from Chennai to Madurai was travelling on the Chennai–Trichy National Highway. When the bus was crossing the Perambalur Four Roads flyover, it reportedly rammed into a truck moving before it.
The truck was carrying cement slabs with the sudden impact and shock, two passengers died on the spot. Further, six passengers including the bus driver have sustained serious injuries and were admitted to the Perambalur Government Hospital.
Police are questioning the truck driver in connection with the accident. This is a developing story. Further detailed reports awaited in this matter.
