New products from Omfed is all set to be launched for the people of Odisha. In a major move, Omfed is preparing to introduce its own brand of ice cream to the market. And it will be available in various flavors.
Additionally, Omfed water will also be launched. Minister Gokulananda Mallick stated that discussions regarding this are currently underway within the board the products will hit the market following board approval.
A three-tier quality check process is in place, including fat content verification, strict steps have been taken to prevent any kind of adulteration.
It is worth mentioning here that, the price of procurement of Omfed milk has been increased by two rupees. This move the Minister believes, will help farmers become more self-reliant.
Minister Gokulananda Mallick stated that the hike in milk procurement prices would enable dairy farmers to earn higher profits and become self-reliant. It is expected that the launch of new Omfed products in the market will provide consumers with more choices while also benefiting the farmers.
