The Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation announced a Rs. 2 per litre increase in the milk procurement price paid to dairy farmers, starting September 11, 2026. From September 11, the milk procurement price from farmers will be increased by Rs 2 per liter.
This decision will benefit more than 3 lakh dairy farmers in the state. This important decision has been taken by OMFED, giving priority to the livelihood, income and interests of the dairy farmers of the state.
Dairy farmers were facing difficulties due to the increase in the cost of cow feed, treatment, maintenance, fodder and transportation. OMFED has increased this procurement price considering the demands of farmers and the current market situation.
Minister Gokulanand Mallick said that this will strengthen the financial condition of farmers and encourage them to take up cow husbandry and milk production. OMFED President Kishore Chandra Pradhani and Managing Director Vijay Amrita Kulange were present at the press conference.
