Youth killed in Puri

In a shocking incident, a man has reportedly chopped off his tongue in Ganjam district of Odisha said reports on Sunday. The incident has been reported under Beguniapada police limits of Ganjam district.

The man has been identified as Kiran Patra, he is said to be a resident of Hansatuli village. Reports say the matter of man chops off his tongue in Ganjam, Kiran chopped off his tongue in a fit of rage near the temple. It is worth mentioning here that, Patra had had a fight with his family due to which he was angered.

The incident reportedly took place near the temple of the village deity. The villagers spotted him lying in a critical condition near the temple gate. They immediately called an ambulance and informed the local police.

Further reports add that, Kiran was admitted to the Khallikote Community Health Center (CHC) for primary treatment and then shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur as his condition deteriorated.

The police has started an investigation into the matter of the man chopping off tongue in Ganjam. Initial investigation suggests that there is likely to be an occult angle to the incident. This is a developing story, further detailed reports awaited in this regard.
