A Cyber fraud alert has been issued by the Commissionerate police Bhubaneswar-Kataka. The police have also issued a helpline number, and has urged to be cautious against several cyber frauds.
According to reports, online investment scams are on the rise with each passing day. The scammers lure people with the greed of high profits and low risk, and can rob one of their hard-earned money.
Hence before investing, the Commissionerate police as urged to verify all the details thoroughly and not fall for tempting promises or become a victim of cyber fraud.
The police further cautioned about digital arrest and said that, “No police officer can arrest you through a phone or video call. If you become a victim of a cyber scam, immediately call 1930.”
In the Cyber Fraud Alert, the Bhubaneswar-Kataka Commissionerate police has issued a helpline number “1930” and has urged people to call for help incase they become victims to cyber fraud.
