In a tragic incident there has been a building collapse in Maharashtra. The incident has taken place in Bhiwandi city in Thane district of Maharashtra. The death toll in the incident has risen to nine. However, the rescue operations are still underway. The death toll is expected to rise further.

According to reports, the death toll in the Bhiwandi building collapse incident has increased to nine. Reports further added that, a four-storey building partially collapsed in Bhiwandi, late last night. The rescue operations are still underway by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) personnel. The building was reportedly old and collapsed due to incessant rains in the area.

According to sources in the the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) teams said that in the building collapse in Maharashtra, as many as nine bodies have so far been recovered from the site. The team further informed that, search and rescue operations are continuing to trace any remaining persons who may be trapped under the rubble.
