BMC raid on shops

BMC raid on shops in Bhubaneswar continues, officials destroy huge quantity of stale sweets and other items.

According to reports, the BMC Food Safety Team conducted inspections at sweet manufacturing units across various areas of Bhubaneswar. The team found several adulterated and expires food items in shops and destroyed them. They also fined the shops for several violations.

The raids were conducted in major areas across the city such as Soubhagya Nagar, Surya Nagar, Jagamara, Delta and Jaydev Vihar, informed the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation.

As much as 1.9 quintals of stale sweets, adulterated khoa and coloured food items were destroyed in the BMC raid on shops in Bhubaneswar.

Further it is worth mentioning here that Rs. 22,000 fine was imposed and two samples were sent for laboratory analysis. BMC is leaving no stone unturned to stop the sale of adulterated food items in the capital city of Bhubaneswar.
