In a tragic accident in Kendrapara, as many as nine school children have been injured. Reports say that the autorickshaw in which they were travelling lost balance and plunged into a canal.
According to reports, the accident in Kendrapara district of Odisha took place when the children were returning home. A major tragedy was averted as the canal did not have much water in it. It is further reported that the auto was at a speed and lost control and skid off the road and fell into the canal.
It is further worth mentioning that one of the nine injured school students has sustained critical injuries and has been admitted to the Kendrapara District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). The treatment is underway.
The police is investigating into the matter. Sources say that the autorickshaw driver is missing. Detailed report awaited.
