A 16 feet long Python rescued from Banki block in Cuttack district in Odisha on Sunday. Reports say, the python was stuck in a net in the forest.
The locals reportedly spotted the 16 ft Python and informed the Forest Department. the Forest Department then rescued the giant python. Reports Forest department personnel reached and rescued the snake. After the rescue, the snake was released in the forest.
The 16 feet long Python rescued from Banki was safely removed from the net with the efforts of the forest department personnel. It was found that the snake did not suffer any major damage during the rescue. Later, the forest department took the python to a nearby forest and released it safely.
It is worth mentioning that, during rainy days wild animals and snakes move from the forest area towards human settlements in search of food and shelter. Therefore, the forest department has asked people to inform the forest department instead of trying to catch such snakes themselves.
