Road accident in Sambalpur on Sunday has led to critical injury to the two drivers. The accident has taken place on the Dalakhman Bridge near Redhakhol town in Sambalpur district of Odisha.
Reports say a trailer truck and a truck collided head-on. The drivers of both vehicles are in critical condition. Reportedly, a coal-laden truck from Sambalpur was going to Angul when it collided head-on with a trailer truck loaded with iron.
The drivers of both vehicles are in critical condition. They have been shifted to Burla Medical College.
Due to the accident, traffic snarl was seen on both sides of the road, vehicles are stuck. Passengers and other motorists have been stuck for hours together.
Police have reached the spot and started an investigation into the cause and circumstances of the accident. Efforts are on to remove the crashed vehicles from the road and normalize traffic at the earliest.
