Rain in Odisha to continue due to fresh low pressure over the Bay of Bengal, alert issued for 30 districts. Another low pressure is likely on the August 20. There is a possibility of a cyclone forming in the north Bay of Bengal on August 19.
Rain in Odisha is continuing in various places under the influence of the low pressure. There is no clear picture of it at present, the Regional Meteorological Center has said that it will be clarified later.
A warning has been issued for the entire state for rain today. The Regional Meteorological Center has issued an orange warning for four districts and a yellow warning for 26 other districts.
On the other hand, due to heavy rain there is a possibility of waterlogging in the low-lying areas and on the roads. The water level of rivers and canals is also being monitored. Further information from the Meteorological Department regarding the new low pressure is awaited.
