The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has accepted the resignation of DCP Jagmohan Meena. Meena, is an Odisha cadre IPS officer of the 2013 batch. He had resigned with effect from the afternoon of September 11, 2026.

According to a notification issued by the Union Home Ministry from New Delhi on September 11, the President has accepted the resignation of IPS (OD:2013). The order has been signed by Yatendra Kumar, Under Secretary to the Union Government.

Jagmohan Meena, who was working as DCP in Bhubaneswar, resigned from the IPS job citing personal reasons. He said that he took this decision after consulting his family and friends.

It is worth mentioning here that, the Odisha government on Thursday (August 27) accepted the resignation of Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena. Meena, a 2013‑batch IPS had submitted his resignation a month ago.

He had addressed the press upon his resignation and said that he was resigning for personal reasons. However, Jagmohan Meena’s resignation was accepted by Odisha government almost a month later.

The State government has formally accepted the resignation that had been submitted by the senior IPS officer. It had then forwarded it to the Government pf India for its consideration
