There has been an accident in Nayagarh in which as many as three are critical as the bus overturned after loosing balance. The tragic accident occurred on the bypass near Badapandusar in Itamati police station of Nayagarh district, reports said.
The bus was going from Daringbadi to Bhubaneswar. There were more than 35 passengers in the vehicle. The driver said that the accident occurred because he got blinded due the headlight of a bike. He said he lost control over the bus.
Later, the fire brigade team arrived and rescued the passengers. The three seriously injured have been shifted to Bhubaneswar.
According to information available, the bus was going from Daringbadi to Bhubaneswar. There were more than 35 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident. The bus suddenly overturned on the bypass near Badapandusar. As a result, there was panic among the passengers inside the bus. Many passengers were injured in the accident and were trapped inside the bus.
On receiving information, the fire brigade team reached the spot and started rescue operations. The trapped passengers were taken out safely. The injured were later taken to a nearby hospital. Three of the seriously injured were shifted to Bhubaneswar for better treatment. However, an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the accident in Nayagarh.
