On the flood situation in Odisha, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said that it is being closely monitored. He added that, various teams have been deployed and officials have been appointed.

The government is keeping a close watch on the flood situation in Odisha that has arisen in some areas due to renewed heavy rainfall. The local administration is present at the field level with complete readiness, monitoring the situation while continuing necessary rescue and relief operations.

For the smooth management of rescue and relief operations, three senior and experienced officers have been assigned separate responsibilities for Balasore, Bhadrak, and Jajpur districts. The Special Relief Commissioner is maintaining constant coordination with all district administrations and overseeing the operations.

The CM informed that, “Ensuring swift assistance reaches the affected people and their safety is our topmost priority. Tomorrow morning, I will visit the flood-affected areas to directly assess the situation. Please follow the administration’s directives and stay safe; the government is always with you.”

UPDATE: 

Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi, along with Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, visited flood-affected areas in Dasharathpur block under Jajpur district, also interacted with local residents and assessed the impact of the floods.

State BJP president Manmohan Samal, Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, Jajpur MP Rabindra Narayan Behera and senior district administration officials accompanied the CM during his visit.
