Train derailment in Odisha has been reported on Friday. Passengers narrowly escaped a major incident at Puri railway station. The train derailed from the track, said reports.
The Talcher-Puri MEMU train derailed. The incident occurred at some distance from platform number 3 when the train was approaching the railway station. The sudden derailment of the train caused panic and fear among the passengers.
Fortunately, no passengers were reported to have been injured in the incident. The train was enroute from Talcher to Puri today. The train reached Puri a few hours late than the scheduled time.
After the Train derailment in Odisha, the railway department has stepped up its efforts. It is learnt that efforts have been started to bring the derailed train back on the track in order to smoothen the train movement.
However, the real reason for the derailment will be clear after the investigation. It is said that the major incident was averted slightly because the incident took place so close to the station.
