There has been a bus accident in Balasore district in Odisha on Friday. A pilgrimage bus was involved in the accident, it was a close shave for 60 passengers.
According to reports, the bus accident in Balasore took place nar Soro under Simulia police station jurisdiction. The accident occurred near the electric office.
According to available information, the accident occurred while 60 passengers were going to Puri Jagannath temple in Odisha for darshan from Chandikala of Hoogly in Kolkata of West Bengal. The pilgrim bus named Odishi was enroute to Puri when it had some engine trouble and stopped at the diversion near the electric office.
While the bus was being pushed, a truck coming from behind hit the side of bus. The driver of the tanker fled the scene of the accident, the front of the tanker was crushed to pieces, while the truck driver and helper fled.
It is worth mentioning here that, all the passengers in the bus are safe, and the Simulia police have reached the scene of the accident in Balaosre and are investigating into the matter.
