All the schools closed in Khordha district of Odisha. The categories include Primary and Upper Primary Schools, High Schools, Higher Secondary Schools including Government, Government Aided, OAVs, Private schools under Mayurbhanj District will be closed.
The Khordha district administration has directed all Block Education Officials (BEOs) to close the schools for three days that is September 22 to September 24 due to heavy rain prediction in the district.
The notice read as follows, “I am to intimate that, precautionary measures needs to be taken to tackle the severe weather conditions and the forecast of very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall over the State during 22.09.2026 to 24.09.2026 and pursuant to order of Collector-cum-DM, Khordha, all Government, Government-aided, OAVS. KVs. JNVs and all privately managed schools having class range from Sishu Vatika to Class XII in Khordha district shall remain closed from 22.09.2026 to 24.09.2026”
Further the schools closed in Khordha notice read, “The following instructions to be followed scrupulously NRTS examinations will be held as per schedule of BSE, Odisha in the designated 13 centers on 22.09.2026.”
The notice added, “The teachers and other staff will stay at school as usual. No CL. will be allowed during this period from 22.9.26 to 24.09.26.”
“Steps must be taken to make the school building and other necessary facilities be in readiness. Roster duty must be arranged by the HMs to make the school open 24 x 7 and cooperation to the district administration must be ensured at any point of time.” Read the letter in conclusion.
