SBI free ATM transactions have been reduced to just five per month, but this shall be applicable to only those who have a salary account in the State Bank of India.
State Bank of India (SBI) is set to reduce the number of free monthly ATM transactions available to Salary Account holders. This change shall be applicable from October 1, 2026. Earlier the limit was ten but now from Octobe onwards it shall be reduced to just five.
The charges shall be applicable if one uses SBI debit cards at other bank ATMs. It shall also apply while using Automated Deposit and Withdrawal Machines (ADWMs) of other banks.
The five-transaction limit will cover both financial and non-financial transactions. Therefore, transactions such as cash withdrawals as well as non-financial ATM transactions will count towards the same monthly free limit.
However SBI has refrained from increasing the ATM transaction charges. After the limit of five is exhausted, for every cash withdrawal made at another bank’s ATM SBI will continue to charge Rs. 23 plus GST.
However, for all non-financial transactions beyond the free monthly limit, the applicable charge will be Rs. 11 plus GST per transaction.
