Heavy rain in Odisha is expected for a week. Heavy to very heavy rain is likely in various districts of the state till the August 27.
The regional MeT center here in Bhubaneswar said that Yellow warning has been issued for 14 districts today for heavy rain with thunderstorm.
Similarly, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Odisha. The alert has been issued for two days that is tomorrow and day after tomorrow. Rainfall is likely to exceed 24 inches as heavy rain in Odisha is predicted.
Heavy to very heavy rain is likely in Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj on the August 27. On the other hand, another low pressure is likely. A low pressure area is likely to form in the northwest Bay of Bengal and the adjacent north Odisha coast around the August 22 to August 23.
