There has been a CNG price hike in Delhi by Rs 3.89 per kg, the price hike is likely to affect taxi fares also. CNG or Compressed Natural Gas prices have been hiked by Rs 3.89 per kg in Delhi, effective from 6 am on August 29, 2026.
According to reports, CNG in Delhi will now cost Rs. 86.98 per kg, up from Rs. 83.09 per kg. This hike is said to be a problem for the entire public. Passengers will have to pay more for auto rickshaws and taxis.
Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) held a presser on the CNG price hike in Delhi. The Company informed that a significant portion of input gas for CNG is being met through imported LNG. The rate of LNG in the spot or current market have seen a surge since the beginning of the West Asia conflict.
