There has been a tragic car accident in Thrissur district of Keralam. As many as eight people have been killed on the spot.
According to reports, in the car accident in Thrissur, the ill-fated car rammed into the rear of a parked goods lorry on the National Highway at Kaipamangalam in Thrissur district. The accident occurred around midnight at Panambikunnu Centre.
Reports further added that, the impact of the collision was so strong that car was completely mangled. The bodies of the occupants had to be extricated by cutting open the vehicle.
Further, preliminary information suggests that those travelling in the car were students of an engineering college in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu. Further detailed reports awaited. An investigation has been initiated by the Keralam Police.
