Brown Sugar racket in Bhubaneswar busted by Commissionerate Police on Monday said reliable reports. The Special Crime Unit has achieved a major breakthrough and has achieved a major success in the anti-drug campaign.
The accused is a resident of Murshidabad area in West Bengal. Brown sugar worth 263 grams was seized from him, the police have estimated its approximate value to be Rs 26.5 lakh.
It is worth mentioning that the pedller used to come to Bhubaneswar from Babughat and trade drugs. The Commissionerate Police arrested the accused after receiving information from a special source.
Meanwhile, the police said that brown sugar trade is spreading to Bhubaneswar from West Bengal, and the Special Crime Unit is investigating in detail into the network.
