A passenger boat stuck in Chilika lake, led to few hours of anxiety. Due to a mechanical fault in the engine of the boat the boat got stranded in Chilika. A passenger ferry got stuck in the middle of Chilika lake, said reports on Monday.
The boat was ferrying as many as ten passengers. Vessels sometimes drift off and get stuck in shallow mud areas generally during bad weather days.
The ferry was taking passengers from Satpada through Chilika to Janhikuda Ghat. It is long distance of five kilometers. Relief was provided after another boat reached near it and pulled it to the the shore about two hours later.
All the passengers were safely rescued from the boat stuck in Chilika. Further detailed reports awaited in this regard.
