Amur Gas Chemical Complex in Russia catches fire on Tuesday, one person has been killed and more than 100 injured.

According to reports, a massive explosion and fire hit Russia’s Amur Gas Chemical Complex during commissioning works ahead of its planned launch. It was slated to be world’s largest facility.

Reports say that, following the fire in the Amur Gas Chemical Complex in Russia one worker has died. As many as 19 were hospitalized and more than 100 received medical treatment.

The blast occurred around an auxiliary section of the factory unit. The exact cause is still under investigation, although Russian media say containers of methanol may have exploded.
