There has been a shocking truck accident in Ganjam district of Odisha. The vehicle has slipped off the road and fallen into a 30-ft deep trench.
According to reports, the accident in Ganjam was scary but miraculously the driver escaped with just minor bruises. The incident has been reported from Bada Ghati. The terrible accident occurred late at night near Bada Ghati under Khalikote police station limits in Ganjam district.
Reports say, the container was loaded with cashew nuts and slipped about 30 feet down from the National Highway No. 16 due to brake failure. The accident occurred late at night near Bada Ghati. The container loaded with cashew nuts was enroute from Gopalpur to Delhi.
However, due to sudden brake failure on the Bada Ghati, the driver could not control the vehicle and lost control. As a result, the container hit the barricade and fell about 30 feet down from the highway and overturned.
The container driver, however had a miraculous escape. He was slightly injured in the accident. He has been rescued and admitted to Khalikote Medical College and Hospital.
After receiving the information, the Khalikote police station reached the spot and started an investigation. Whether the accident actually happened due to brake failure or there was some other reason, it will be clear only after the investigation. Details awaited.
