Odisha Vice Chancellor Conference held, chaired by Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati. It was held at the Lok Seva Bhavan. The meeting was attended by the Vice Chancellors of all the Universities in the State and also by the Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj.
The main issue of the meeting was how to fill the more than 1400 posts that have been lying vacant in the universities for a long time. The recruitment process has been started from November and the aim is to complete it in the shortest possible time.
However reports say that, there was no discussion regarding the Student Council or College elections in today’s high-level meeting.
Minister of State Government of Odisha Higher Education Department, Sports and Youth Services, Odia language, Literature and Culture shared details about the meeting. He took to his X handle and wrote in Odia that roughly translates into, “The It was an honor to participate in the Vice-Chancellors’ Conference held under the chairmanship of the esteemed Governor and Chancellor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati.”
The Minister further added, “In this meeting, thoughtful discussions took place regarding filling vacant faculty positions in universities, strengthening modern infrastructure, promoting research and innovation, and enhancing the quality standards of education delivery.”
“Our government is committed to making the state’s higher education sector more dynamic, competitive, and future-ready,” wrote the Minister as he concluded.
