The mysterious death of police constable in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha has been reported on Tuesday. What is more shocking is that the policeman was found dead inside a car! The incident has been reported from National Highway No.18 near Padmanavpur area of Mayurbhanj district.
According to reports, the death of the police constable in Mayurbhanj took place in a parked car on the National Highway. The villagers spotted the car and grew suspicious as it remained parked for a long time without any movement.
They then went near the car and tried to call the person but there was no response. Later they saw Mahanta’s body lying in the car seat. They then immediately alerted the local police. The police reached the spot and cordoned off the area and started a probe into the matter.
The body was retrieved and sent for post mortem. The deceased constable has been identified as Basanta Mahanta. He is said to be a native of Jharpokhariar area. The investigation in the matter is underway. the cause of the death will be ascertained after the post mortem report is obtained. The scientific investigation team has been summoned to collect evidence from the spot, said reports. Further details awaited
