Schools closed in Bhadrak

Several schools closed in Bhadrak district of Odisha on August 4 (Tuesday) due to floods. The District Collector of Bhadrak, Somesh Kumar Upadhyay decided to suspend the classes of a few schools tomorrow as a safety measure.

It is worth mentioning here that the Bhadrak district administration has been actively and on war footing working to bring back normalcy to the district as the flood waters have receded. While the flood situation in Bhadrak district is gradually returning to normal, the District Collector reviewed the progress of the district’s flood situation and provided detailed information about it to all media representatives.

Several schools closed in Bhadrak district as a precautionary measure. The District Collector informed the media that, “He had stated that rescue, relief, and rehabilitation efforts by the district administration are continuing on a war footing.

He further reassured on the official X handle theat, “In the flood-affected areas, along with ensuring food, drinking water, healthcare, animal feed, and other essential services, all kinds of assistance are being provided to the affected people.”

“The administration is constantly keeping an eye on the district’s situation, while the District Magistrate has instructed that all departments should work together in a coordinated manner,” he said as he concluded.
