There has been a group attack in Bhubaneswar and a security guard in Dhauli area of the temple city has been critically injured.
According to reports, a young man was attacked by a group of people allegedly due to an old enmity. It is alleged that more than 20 miscreants arrived in six vehicles and attacked the youth.
The incident took place under the Dhauli police station area. The youth is said to be a resident of the Dhauli area who works as a security guard. He reportedly sustained serious injuries in the assault.
While he was sitting at the foothills of Dhauli, the group of over 20 miscreants arrived in six vehicles, suddenly surrounded him, and launched a collective attack.
Reports say that, he suffered severe injuries to his head and various parts of his body. He is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital and is in a critical condition.
The Dhauli police have initiated an investigation and are examining CCTV footage from the scene to identify the attackers.
