With an aim to make traffic management in the capital smarter and more modern, flickering light for Traffic Police has been launched in Bhubaneswar. The Commissionerate Police has launched a shoulder flickering light system for traffic police personnel. The Police Commissioner inaugurated the system at a function held at Police Seva Bhavan.
Additional Commissioner of Police and DCP Traffic along with several other senior police officers were present on the occasion. This modern light system has been introduced to enhance the safety, visibility and efficiency of traffic personnel working in the field especially during night patrolling.
Traffic police can be easily identified by motorists, especially during night duty. This will increase road safety and make the traffic control system more effective. The step has been described as another milestone towards smart traffic management in the smart city.
