This headmaster who saved a thousand lives is being praised highly on social media for his wit and presence of mind. The man saved his life and the life of as many as 1,643 children and teachers of Tribhuvan Trishuli Secondary School in the wake of the disaster in Nepal.
The headmaster identified as Rajendra Dadabi received a warning that a village upstream had been swept away by the river. He acted swiftly in the face of the disaster and immediately rang the school bell continuously. Further, he moved the children and the teachers to higher ground, that is a mountain nearby.
The headmaster who saved a thousand lives further called the school bus drivers and asked them to stop wherever they were. And to return back. One of the buses was just about to approach the bridge when he called. Th driver stopped the bus and returned back. Just a few moments later the entire bridge collapsed and was washed away completely.
A little later, the flood hit the school. The entire three-storied building was washed away. Not even a trace was left behind. But due to the presence of mind of the headmaster all the 1,643 children and the teachers survived the ordeal.
The quick thinking and smartness of this one man helped save the lives of as many as 1,643 students and many teachers. Social media has hailed Rajendra Dadabi as an untold hero. His story is now being widely shared across various social media platforms. People cannot just stop praising his wit and presence of mind.
