Bear terror in Koraput district of Odisha. The bear was seen roaming around in Lamataput block Gunaypada area.
According to reports, a huge bear was seen roaming around in various villages and nearby area. In the evening, the bear was seen approaching the village and roaming around fearlessly.
Today, some people saw the bear sleeping in the school verandah since morning. Seeing the bear, people shouted and ran into their homes. Du to the bear terror in Koraput people have been scared to step out of their homes since the sighting.
It is however worth mentioning here that, till now the bear has not been seen harming anyone. There is a rumour that the bear is someone’s pet.
On the other hand, the Lamataput forest officer has been monitoring the bear’s movements. He said that a special team will be formed and steps will be taken to ensure that the bear does not approach the village area.
