IPS reshuffle in Odisha effected on Friday. According to the notification dated August 21, 2026, the following officers have been transferred with immediate effect:
Himansu Kumar Lal, IPS (RR-2003)– IG of Police, Northern Range, Sambalpur posted as IG of Police, Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Bhubaneswar and Special Task Force (STF).
Satyabrat Bhoi, IPS (RR-2004)– IG of Police, Northern Central Range, Talcher (with additional charge of Principal, Police Training College, Angul) posted as IG of Police, Intelligence.
Jai Narayan Pankaj, IPS (RR-2005)– IG of Police, Intelligence, Odisha, Bhubaneswar, posted as IG of Police, Southern Range, Brahmapur.
The IPS reshuffle in Odisha also included Niti Shekhar, IPS (RR-2007)– Presently IG of Police, Southern Range, Brahmapur posted as IG of Police (Provisioning), State Police Headquarters.
Charan Singh Meena, IPS (RR-2009)– Presently DIG of Police, Provisioning posted as DIG of Police, Northern Range, Sambalpur.
Ashish Kumar Singh, IPS (RR-2010)– Recently joined the Home Department after repatriation from Central Deputation posted as DIG of Police, Northern Central Range, Talcher, with additional charge of Principal, Police Training College, Angul
