The stranded Kendrapara school students have finally been rescued from flash floods by ODRAF personnel. According to reports, hundreds of students were stranded in a school building in Kendrapara district of Odisha due to flash floods.
Reports say that, water rushed into the ashram school. Due to the sudden flooding, the children were unable to escape outside. According to latest reports, the stranded Kendrapara school students have finally been rescued from flash floods by ODRAF personnel.
Hundreds of school students were stranded in Pattamundai area of Kendrapara as flood waters from Bramhani river suddenly rushed into school premises. It is estimated that there were more than 300 children in the school when the incident happened.
Later reports said that, the Deputy District Magistrate and the fire brigade team reached the spot and assessed the situation. The Deputy District Magistrate had said that it will be known after assessing whether the students need be rescued or can continue to stay there.
However, a teacher had said that the school has all the facilities for the students along with enough food and drinking water. Later however it was decided that the children need to be rescued and the ODRAF team was pressed into action. This is a developing story, further detailed reports awaited in this regard.
