Cabinet proposals passed by Odisha

Nine Cabinet proposals passed by Odisha government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The Odisha Cabinet has taken a series of important decisions focused on strengthening agriculture, infrastructure, energy, investment, digital governance and social welfare.

These Cabinet proposals passed by Odisha government reflect the Government’s commitment to decisive action, inclusive development and building a stronger, ‘Samruddha’ Odisha.

The Cabinet proposals passed by Odisha government are as follows:

-Pumped Storage Policy Strengthened – Policy amendments approved to accelerate pumped storage projects, strengthen grid stability and support greater integration of renewable energy into the State’s power system.

-Renewable Energy Policy Enhanced – Key reforms approved to attract investments in renewable energy, promote battery energy storage and expand Odisha’s clean energy capacity.

-Semiconductor Policy 3rd Amendment -Policy expanded in line with ISM 2.0, introducing new semiconductor value-chain segments and 25% additional fiscal support for eligible ISM-approved projects.

-OSWAS 3.0 Approved – Rs. 122.60 crore approved for a next-generation digital governance platform with Al capabilities, enabling more secure, scalable and paperless government administration.

-Parbati Giri Mega Lift Irrigation Scheme – Rs. 12,458.04 crore approved for 161 Mega Lift Irrigation schemes, creating additional irrigation potential of 2.62 lakh hectares and strengthening water access for agriculture across Odisha.

-Minor Irrigation Projects Revitalised – Rs. 389 crore approved to renovate 680 Minor Irrigation Projects, restoring irrigation potential over 15,700 hectares and strengthening water availability for farmers.

-Jashoda and Ashirbad Continued – Rs. 296.99 crore approved for five years to strengthen financial, educational and social support for children in vulnerable circumstances.

-Malati Devi Prak Vidyalaya Paridhan Yojana Continued – Rs. 586.51 crore approved for five years to provide improved uniforms, shoes, socks and sweaters to around 14.76 lakh pre-school children every year.

-Rehabilitation Assistance Rules Reformed – New rules approved to simplify compassionate appointments, improve transparency and ensure timely rehabilitation assistance for eligible families.
