There has been a blast in NTPC Angul in which as many as five workers have been critically injured. The blast reportedly occurred in NTPC Thermal Power Plant in Kaniha Block of Angul district.
The explosion at NTPC plant has been reported to have taken place in the wee hours of Saturday. However it is worth mentioning here that, the cause of the blast in NTPC Angul is yet to be ascertained.
Locals say that, the sound of the explosion was massive and all the employees and other workers rushed to the site. As many as five workers were critically injured and have been admitted to the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Hospital.
Following the blast, the fire personnel immediately reached the spot and started and operation to douse the flames after the explosion at NTPC plant. The reason for the blast is however yet to be determined. An investigation is underway in this regard. Further detailed reports awaited in this matter.
