In a tragic incident, an elephant attack in Bolangir district of Odisha has left four people critically injured. It is worth mentioning here that the incident took place in Kantabanji area of Bolangir.
The elephant attack in Bolangir was scary as the pachyderm marched straight into a house and trampled the occupants. The owner of the house has been identified as Lingaraj Bhoi. The house has been reduced to a pile of dust after the elephant attack.
Reports say that, the neighbors and locals rushed the injured people to the Bhima Bhoi hospital in Bolangir for treatment. Where their condition is said to be critical. Further detailed reports awaited.
It is worth mentioning here that, spotting of elephants and attacks near the human settlements has now become common due to decrease in forest cover. The wild animals get confused and head towards the human settlements in search of food.
