There is news to rejoice, two lion cubs born in Nandankanan zoo in Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha.
According to reports, the cubs were born to lioness Maya. But, one of them was still born.
It is worth mentioning that ‘Maya’ gave birth after 112 days of pregnancy. The zoo authorities have decided that The living cub will be transferred to HRC or the Hand Rearing Center in the zoo.
The HRC is a special place where the cub will be bottle-fed and will be given special care by experts. This will help increase chances of survival. Further detailed reports awaited in this matter.
