Waterlogging woes in Bhubaneswar continued on day two, fire services rushed to the rescue of the denizens. Several families were trapped due to the sudden waterlogging in Bhubaneswar, said reliable reports.
It is worth mentioning that, the outskirts of Bhubaneswar experienced severe waterlogging. Places like Daruthenga and Alasua road saw knee-deep waters. The locals immediately alerted the fire department. Rescue personnel were immediately pressed into action.
After receiving information the fire personnel reached the house and rescued the people with the help of life jackets and boats.
Similar scenes were seen on August 6, the waterlogging caused traffic snarls at various points in the city as it is a working day. It is worth mentioning here that, Bhubaneswar experienced continuous heavy rains, lightning and thunderstorm all night long.
On the other hand to add to the woes, the MeT has issued a fresh rainfall warning to the city and 13 other districts. The districts include Keonjhar, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Gajapati, Ganjam, Koraput, Nayagarh, Jajpur, Cuttack, Kalahandi, and Kendrapara
