A suspicious pigeon caught in Odisha on Wednesday shocked locals of Betanati block in Mayurbhanj district. A suspicious pigeon with a Bangladesh code has been caught in the local area. A brass ring is attached to the leg of the pigeon. Some code words has reportedly been written on it.
A family saw the pigeon near their house in Kashipada village. A metal ring resembling a blue brass structure was attached to one of the legs of the bird. The codes ‘BAN-2024’ and ‘701831’ were written on it.
Following the incident of suspicious pigeon in Odisha, a crowd of people started gathering outside the house of the family to get a glimpse of the bird.
Thinking it to be something serious a youth rescued the pigeon and informed the Baishinga police station. Later, he himself took the bird to the police station. On being informed about the incident, the Betanati SDPO and the Baishinga police station officer checked the code and number written on the ring.
However, further investigation by the police is underway to find out where the pigeon came from, why such a code has been written on the ring and whether there is any other mystery behind it.
The suspicious pigeon initially created an atmosphere of fear and anxiety in the village, now all eyes are on the police investigation.
