There has been a road accident in Koraput in which one youth has been killed. The accident took place in Timajhola village near Laxmipur in Koraput district of Odisha.
According to reports, a speeding SUV rammed into a bike on National Highway 326. A youth died on the spot in the accident. The deceased was a resident of the Timajhola village. The villagers have blocked the National Highway connecting Rayagada-Koraput demanding compensation.
According to information available, the youth was standing on the side of the road and talking when a speeding SUV lost control over the wheels and hit him. As a result, he was seriously injured and died on the spot.
There was tension in the area following the road accident in Koraput. The villagers have blocked the National Highway 326 demanding compensation for the family of the deceased.
Due to the road blockade, many vehicles are stuck on both sides of this highway connecting Rayagada and Koraput. As a result, commuters are stuck in the jam since a long time.
