Rain in Odisha is expected to increase as there are two low pressure areas over the Bay of Bengal. Two low-pressure areas are visible back-to-back said the MeT department. A cyclone is likely to form in the Bay of Bengal by September 9.
Reports further say that, it may take the form of a low-pressure area by the September 10. Due to its influence, the effect of rainfall will increase in North Odisha and North Coastal Odisha from the September 9.
Similarly, another low-pressure area is likely to form in the Bay of Bengal between September 17 to September 20. This is expected to bring a lot of rain in Odisha.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rain in five districts of Odisha today.
An orange warning has been issued for Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar for heavy to very heavy rain on the September 10. Further details awaited.
