Puranakatak Bhubaneswar Intercity Express

Close shave for passengers of Puranakatak-Bhubaneswar Intercity Express on Sunday, said reliable reports. The engine of the train reportedly got detached from its coaches.

The incident took place near Bolangir district of Odisha near the Sudapada railway level crossing.

According to available information, Train No. 12894 departed Bolangir at around 3:00 pm. The train was very slow when the accident took place. The engine then moved ahead, leaving the coaches behind.

After the separation the passengers were shocked but fortunately, all passengers were safe and no injuries were reported. The railway authorities were fast to respond it took half an hour to solve the issue.
